CDP #ONLINEKNOWLEDGE

Design for Resilience in your own Integral House

This is a course to learn how to Design and Implement Regenerative Solutions for Future scenarios. We will lower the ecological footprint of our homes and increase the level of our personal and community resilience. We will reach out to you as you are introduced to Home Sustainability and Permaculture. We will share our experience and ideas for all the petals of the permaculture flower or the HaBC of our Life (our Habits, the Biological environment, our Built context).

We share, like many others, an analytical and critical view of the systemic realities that surround us today. The depletion of resources, the macro pollution of our landscapes and our food, the energy precariousness, the social and economic vulnerability present in our societies and of course the effects of a chaotic climate and the scarcity of fossil fuels make us think that it is time to design “a possible future”.

In spite of everything, we are driven by a strong conviction of change, that we are capable of transforming our lives to know how to adapt to what we cannot change or to redesign what we can.

That is why we would like to share this format to obtain your Certificate of Design in Permaculture (CDP) where you will learn how to apply Permaculture in your life, in your home, in your professional activity, in your community?

We will share with you different strategies, techniques and solutions that you can adapt to your context. We will practice a different and creative way of seeing and thinking about problems and solving them. We will facilitate and accompany you in the development of the capacity to design a more sustainable future for you, your family, your community, ours…

A PDC that is as inclusive and holistic as possible

The format of the course will allow you to access the contents from your home and put them into practice in your life right away, without the need to move, and with the company of a community of learning, practice and mutual support, even if it is online. The “practical” part that many people crave is done in live conversations, online collaborative design exercises in small groups, and we will invite you to also implement changes, directly in your life, in your environment, which are shared in our forum with your learning community. From there we say then that it is a mixed format training, it does have a practical part as well, we do not only offer the pre-recorded and written contents on the web, we accompany you in the implementation of them.

We offer 12 live virtual meetings (24 hrs), 12 modules with pre-recorded content and carefully selected resources so you can go deeper into the topics that call you most from our range of #SABERES (minimum 36 hrs), and 12 recommendations for reflection and design exercises, personal and/or group (minimum 12 hrs), to integrate what you have learned (Head, Hands and Heart). We will offer optional live sessions for questions (4 hrs). You will need to calculate a minimum of 8 hours for the final group work during the last 2 months of the course. Thuswe offer you a minimum of 90 hours of training in this online PDC. Some testimonials from people who have participated so far tell us that there is enough for many more hours, if you want to follow all the links we share! (Head)

Live sessions will be held every second Thursday(to be confirmed for the ’24-’25 edition) with an extra session for questions in each block of 3 modules. The schedule will always be from 19:00 to 21:00h CE(S)T (to be confirmed for the ’24-’25 edition). Write to us to know the dates when we will meet live (remember, you will need to have participated in at least 80% of the module live sessions in order to be certified, the question sessions are optional).

The exercises and reflections part will lead you to implement Permaculture in your daily life right away. We will propose actions to choose from so that you can immediately lower your ecological footprint and increase the positive impact on your surroundings (Hands).

We will provide an online place where you can share your observations, reflections, questions and doubts, with a community of people as curious and passionate about Life as you are. We will weave a network of collaboration, because it is cooperation that will make us overcome the challenges (Heart).

We are Aline and Juan Pedro and we will share with you during the course all our professional and life experience accumulated during the last 15 years of our lives and more, in different fields.

Why choose this course?

Because it is an updated and necessary training for the times we live in.

Because it has a format that allows work and family conciliation, without having to be absent from your home for 2 or 3 weeks at a time.

Because it is given by people who live and practice permaculture on a daily basis designing, training and implementing solutions in varied contexts and with a great diversity of clientele.

Because Permaculture is considered (from the EU and from the UN) as one of the most complete disciplines to develop the regenerative solutions we need for the next decades and we need people capable of facing these challenges.

Because you will have unique and exclusive content that you won’t be able to find in any social network (the Johnnies’ videos are becoming famous).

Because we share with you our experience in the professionalization of Permaculture, so that you too can re-design your livelihood to be fair.

Because each edition of the course is redesigned and adjusted taking into account the feedback from the participants, hence the increase in the number of hours of the direct courses and the limit of places per cohort, among other things that we have been changing.

The Certificate, the basis

If you wish, you will have the option to obtain the Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC). For this you will need to collaborate in one of the final design groups and have attended a minimum of 80% of the training (live virtual meetings per module and have shared your reflections and actions chosen per module).

Aline is a Permaculture Graduate (Accredited by the Integral Permaculture Academy at the European Convergence 2018 in Ireland), a tutor for the Iberian Permaculture Academy and a Certified Educator for the British Permaculture Association. Your certificate will then be internationally recognized and will serve as a basis for you to apply for the Diploma of Applied Permaculture anywhere in the world.
