OUR HISTORY

Who we are

We are Juan Pedro & Aline. We have spent more than two decades passionately pursuing permaculture. We actively collaborate with state, European, and global permaculture networks, always with the goal of taking permaculture beyond the alternative sphere and bringing it into professional and larger-scale contexts. Since 2019, we’ve focused on permaculture design with a water-centered approach, placing at the heart of our work an element essential to life and climate resilience: water. The year 2020 marked a turning point on our journey with the acceleration of La Casa Integral, and it was then that we began to envision the “integral” home and the cooperative that we now inhabit and build day by day.

We are deeply motivated to contribute to climate adaptation through hydrological design: creating landscapes that retain water, restoring the small water cycle, and increasing the resilience of human and ecological systems. We are committed to collaborating with projects and people who share a regenerative vision of the land, both in our local bioregions (the Alt Maresme and the island of Mallorca) and in broader contexts. We offer designs, training, consulting, and presentations on regenerative hydrology, addressing stormwater and domestic wastewater management, water in the landscape (on both small and large scales), and the design of natural pools as climate refuges. We’re moving toward a greener and bluer future, starting today. Because every drop counts.

Despite our passion for the “A” in Water, we’ve got all the #KNOWLEDGE covered—whether through our own experience or by collaborating with a network of professionals who are just as passionate about regeneration as we are.

Thank you for your interest!

The People Behind Casa Integral

Guide, designer and facilitator

Aline Van Moerbeke

Aline is Belgian—Flemish by birth—but she feels like a Mallorcan after having spent 20 years in “Sa Roqueta.” There she discovered permaculture and co-founded the Permacultura Mediterránea (PermaMed) association. She still travels frequently to the island from the Maresme region in Catalonia, where she has chosen to settle to co-create with Juan Pedro. Her life story is as diverse as nature itself.

Some brushstrokes are here.
